Dina mtDNA-resultat kommer i allmänhet att jämföras med en vanlig referenssekvens som kallas Cambridge Reference Sequence (CRS), till identifiera din
Our results for mitochondrial DNA testing are the differences between us and that mystery person, so while we probably don’t realize it, the CRS and that person are important to all of us. Scientists have developed the Cambridge Reference Sequence which is the "master template" of what that region should look like. Of course, over the thousands of years, tiny mutations have occurred. Scientists have tracked those mutations over time to see where the various groups of people ended up. Human mtDNA was first sequenced in 1981 in the laboratory of Frederick Sanger in Cambridge, England (Anderson et al. 1981).

Please use this new number when citing the rCRS in publications. The rCRS is a reference sequence, not a "consensus" sequence. It is a single reference individual from haplogroup H2a2 and has been used as a standard for reporting variants for over 30 years. HVR1 Mutations and the Cambridge Reference Sequence When genealogists do mtDNA research, they are looking to see where they fall in the worldwide research of mtDNA, and how they match up against other relatives.

Cambridge Reference Sequence A group under Dr. Fred Sanger at Cambridge University sequenced the mitochondrial genome of one individual of European descent during the 1970s, determining it to have a length of 16,569 Family Tree DNA gives you the option to see your results either in the traditional CRS (Cambridge Reference Sequence) model, above, or the more current Reconstructed Sapiens Reference Sequence (RSRS) model. I am showing the CRS version because that is the version utilized by 23andMe and I want to compare apples and apples. From the flagship Cambridge Histories - now comprising over 300 volumes of original scholarship in 15 subjects - to the finest scholarly editions of classical and modern literature, to essential Handbooks in Linguistics, Psychology, Physics, Astronomy and Medicine, there are dozens of Cambridge titles that belong on the reference of shelf your library.
The Cambridge Reference Sequence (CRS) for human mitochondrial DNA was first published in 1981 leading to the initiation of the human genome project.
